• POLYGRAPH conducted a high-profile investigation at the request of TV host and psychologist Dmytro Karpachov, who suspected cruel treatment of animals at the DOGLAND canine center. With the participation of NAPU head Volodymyr Vedmed, two former center instructors were tested on a polygraph. The results revealed numerous instances of abuse toward dogs, the use of force, and neglect of the animals’ basic needs. The investigation also confirmed the existence of a Telegram chat where videos of cruelty were posted, as well as cases of employees’ phones being checked to conceal evidence. • At the end of January 2024, former head of the Ministry of Defense department Oleksandr Liiev, suspected of embezzling over 1.3 billion UAH during the procurement of mortar shells, requested that Volodymyr Vedmed, head of NAPU, conduct an independent polygraph examination. The testing took place on February 2, 2024, in Kyiv using the RUBICON polygraph, in accordance with international standards. • POLYGRAPH company polygraph expert Volodymyr Vedmed conducted a polygraph examination of NABU First Deputy Head Hizo Uglava. The purpose of the test was to determine whether any official, secret, or confidential information had been disclosed to third parties—specifically Yuriy Holyk and Kyrylo Tymoshenko. The testing was carried out using the Ukrainian RUBICON polygraph, recording seven physiological channels. According to the results, all of the respondent’s answers were assessed as truthful—no evidence of information transfer or contact with the mentioned individuals was found. • Since 2014, a team of polygraph experts led by Volodymyr Vedmed and Ihor Ishchuk has been working on high-profile cases and media projects such as ‘It Concerns Everyone,’ ‘Ukraine Speaks,’ and ‘One for All.’ The polygraph has even been used in pre-trial detention centers and prisons. In hundreds of cases, the conclusions of the polygraph experts have become an important part of the evidentiary base, and in one case, they helped prove a person’s innocence in a murder and secure their release from a life sentence. • In Germany, a courier was attacked after receiving over €300,000. It was urgently necessary to determine who had tipped off the attacker—the client, the contractor, or the courier himself. The team organized polygraph tests within 72 hours: three individuals were tested in two days. The staged scenario was not confirmed, but a behavioral risk was identified—the courier had been flaunting cash, which could have been a source of the leak. It was recommended to check his contacts, implement an NDA, and change delivery routes. The polygraph helped quickly narrow down the circle of suspects and prevent repeat incidents.

• In 2019, polygraph expert Ihor Ishchuk conducted an examination for the agroholding MHP (Myronivsky Hliboproduct) regarding Chief Agronomist Oleksiy Serhiienko. Following alerts from the security service about potential financial misconduct and losses exceeding $100,000, a polygraph test was carried out. The results confirmed instances of violations and the misuse of official position for personal gain. Based on the polygraph expert’s conclusions, MHP management decided to terminate Serhiienko. • Polygraph expert Volodymyr Vedmed was approached by the mother and aunt of missing military paramedic Olha Shargorodska, who served in military unit A7338 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On November 19, 2024, she last made contact, and on November 21, her commander declared her absent without leave. The relatives do not believe this version and suspect the involvement of the commander, with whom Olha had a personal relationship. To clarify the circumstances, a polygraph examination was conducted with her mother, Anzhela Danyliuk, regarding any possible knowledge of her daughter’s whereabouts. The results of the examination help narrow down the possible scenarios and shed light on the paramedic’s disappearance.

• Renowned lawyer and host of the project ‘One for All,’ Serhiy Kostyra, underwent a polygraph examination at the polygraph association ‘Vedmed, Ishchuk & Partners.’ The test was conducted by expert Ihor Ishchuk. The lawyer sought assistance following an incident on June 3, 2024, when, according to him, employees of the Podil Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) beat him, restrained him, and confiscated his phone. Despite filing a complaint, the investigation has not progressed, and Serhiy continues to receive threats. The polygraph examination aimed to verify the truthfulness of his statements. The results can be used as evidence in court and serve as an example of protecting a lawyer’s rights through professional tools of forensic psychophysiology.

• A female bodybuilder who competed in natural bodybuilding competitions approached POLYGRAPH. She voluntarily agreed to undergo a polygraph examination to dispel suspicions of doping or use of banned substances. The examination was conducted by certified NAPU polygraph experts using the Ukrainian RUBICON polygraph and standardized procedures. The test results showed no indications of deceptive responses regarding doping use. This case confirmed that the polygraph can be a reliable tool for ensuring fairness in sports and protecting athletes’ reputations.
